Jam Packed Few Days

It all started off with us going to Nashville with Josh on Thursday. We ate an all you can eat sushi lunch in "the Gulch" part of Nashville for $9.75/person (our new fave restaurant) and then we took naps, played in the pool, ate at Jonathan's, and then hung out at the manager's reception. Go embassy suites! These are nice 24 vacations for us, just sorry we missed Uncle Truckles this go around.
When we got home on Friday, we discovered that Mr. Sheats (our stone mason) had dropped off his John Deere "bobcat." Ty was VERY excited to say the least and here he is with Hudson. I think Ty is going to have a hard time with it when it has to leave. :(
Friday night, Josh, Ben & Casey took the kids to see a Lookouts game and watch fireworks. It was a lot of fun for all of them, but I think all the kids were VERY tired!
Saturday morning we had a yard sale with neighbors. It was fun to hang out with them, and make a little moola. Here is Laura keeping the kids busy. After the yard sale, Mom and I did a little bit of shopping and then the Beard's came over for dinner. We had a great time and gorged ourselves on their homemade salsa, yummy!
My parents spent the weekend with us and we had a good time visiting with them. In this pic Ty is giving Dad a kiss...can you see his tongue?
We really didn't do much today after church besides take it easy. Here are the kids eating grapes. To see all of our pics click on the May album.

Lap Top or Telephone?

Marley has had her computer out here lately and she uses the mouse as if it is a telephone. She loves phones and pretends that a lot of things are phones. She may be trying to prepare us for countless hours on the phone when she gets older.

Happy Mother's Day!!

What a great Mother's Day weekend! We started it off by going to dinner at the Terminal and then to Greenlife for good music and even better dessert. Thanks Josh! Saturday we had a yummy dinner with the Beards and then a full day in LC on Sunday. To see all of our pics this month, click on May pics.
We had a great time visiting with family in LC! Here is Marley on the tractor.
This is Nana with her 6 soon to be 7 grandkids! We had lunch at delicious lunch at her house. Thanks Nana for everything you do!
Even though my mom's shirt says she was born lucky (hee hee), we are lucky to have her as our mom and Yaay.
Here's a pic of my Aunt Lynne with my Granny. Today is my Granny's birthday, she is 87!! We love her so much!!

Josh's 1/2 & North Myrtle Beach Vacation

Okay, okay I tried to pick my favorite pics but I still have a lot. To see them all click on the NMB album. Anyway we left last Thursday to go to North Myrtle Beach. We had a fantastic time (eating out, playing in the ocean, swimming in the pool, shopping, Josh's race, go karts, putt putt, and the list goes on) and it is a little hard to be back. :)
We went to the beach because Josh had a race (1/2 Ironman - 1 mile swim, 56 mile bike & 13.1 mile run) in White Lake, NC on Saturday and we decided to make a week trip out of it. This is where Josh swam in his race, it looked pretty neat.
Josh did so well in his race, especially for the amount of training he had put in. He did it in 5 hrs and 12 mins. Both kids were worn out from waking up at 4:30 am and were asleep when he crossed the finish line!! We are so proud of Josh.
Both kiddos loved the ocean!! Here is Ty running from a wave. The last night we couldn't get them out of the ocean.
Ty loves to make funny faces and poses and this was one of my favorites.
I guess having an older brother makes you want to play with dump trucks instead of Barbies.
Marley is so proud of herself in these goggles. Also Josh did an amazing Low Country boil this night.
Well back to the real world of no ocean, pool, eating out everyday & Josh back at work. Let's start thinking about the next vacation!!
