More Beach Pics

Ty is definitely going to be a Beach Bum but Marley is no Beach Bunny. He loves it and her not so much.
Here's Marley in her hand me down swimsuit & cover up...too cute! To see all of our pics this week, just click on the Folly Beach album.Oh by the way, I play on the computer while the boys are away & Marley Mo naps. :)

Folly Beach - We made it here!

We left early yesterday morning & drove to Folly Beach (near Charleston, SC). It took around 7 hours and the kids did great. We were also proud of ourselves for being able to take our car, pack our big double stroller, Marley's jumperoo, the laptop, all of our stuff for a week, and get it all in the trunk!! :) Anyway the house is really nice and Ty is LOVING the ocean...this should be a relaxing retreat.

Thanks Andi!

I just want to give a shot out to Andi for helping my blog look & sound better...thanks!!

Full Day!

Josh's parents have been staying with Josh's grandmother (she has a broken foot and needs a little extra help) but they decided to take the day off and help us out. They came down early this morning and brought us more beef, then we all canned tomatoes, went & picked more blueberries, and then ate a delicious steak dinner that Josh prepared. It was really nice...thanks Jess & Bettye!!Here is Papa & his blueberry picking/eating buddy and Nana with a HUGE tomato.

Ty going crazy with stickers & doing yoga with Dad...

All in all everything is going well, although I was flying the white flag above our house as Josh came home yesterday. :)

Visits from Curt & My Parents

We had a good weekend. Not too busy just hanging out, here is a pic of my parents with Ty and his bad toe (wasn't that hurt just a good reason for a band aid).Mom & Dad watched the kids for us while we went to Murphy's Ale House for dinner...it was nice to get out without the kiddos. :)Curt came Friday night to visit with us. Thanks so much Uncle Truckles for stopping by!

Picking Blueberries

Wednesday we went to Rising Fawn, GA to pick blueberries with my friend Cheri Miller (I used to work with her at TVA) and our neighbors Lisa & Hudson. We had a great time (my kids were a little rowdy...which somewhat hindered my blueberry picking) and we are so appreciative of her letting us come to visit. After picking, we had a nice lunch on the back patio and then went to see all her animals & spiffy barn. We finised the day with an awesome blueberry pie and sleeping kids in the car. What a great & tiresome day!Ty & Hudson taking a break from picking blueberries. Here are some pics from last night. The Master's & the Grau's came over for dinner and it was really nice to see them both. I hope everyone is feeling much better today. :)

Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon

Last year Josh registered for the Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon so he could get the discounted rate, he wasn't expecting to slash his wrist open 2 months before the race. Well on Wednesday (yes this past Wednesday) he decided he might give it a try. I was very reluctant at first but you all know that Josh does not listen to me. Anyway he did it and we are so proud of him! Not too bad for a one handed man, to see all of our pics click on the July album. Here are the kids waiting on Josh. We got there at 7:30 am but somehow we missed him coming out of the swim and on the bike. Luckily we got to see him on the run. What fun!I never got Marley's pic in her baptism dress, so I put her back in it just to take a pic. Of course I washed it and ironed it for the pic and she spit up on it even though she was only in it 2 minutes. :)

Underwear Trapeze Artist & Local Food

The video speaks for itself...
Here are some pictures of some of our "local" foods. The 1st pic is of some blueberries in our yard. We planted them earlier this year and here the last few nights we have been picking about 10-15 per night. The next pic is of some local beef (3/4 of a cow!) we bought, it is hormone free & pretty tasty. The last pic is of some apple sauce I have been making. I picked the apples with my neighbor Lisa and she has given me some tips on freezing homemade apple sauce...yummy!

I just had to take a pic of Marley in this cute outfit.

Parade, Cookout, and Fireworks...Oh My!!

What a great weekend & it is only Saturday morning! :) Josh took off Thursday & he took the kids blackberry picking while I went to my Bible Study, after that we all went shopping. Then on Friday morning, Amy, Connor & Macy joined us at Laura & Kimbrough's house for breakfast. We came back to our house to watch the parade ( goes right in front of our house) & it was a lot of fun!
