Stay away from me

What a weird last few days. Sunday we went to pick up the kids from Lenoir City and I decided to drive. On the way up, a muffler came flying toward us and of course I hit it and bent our wheel (has to be replaced), lost our $60 hubcap, and got a flat tire. Then yesterday I thought I would be helpful and take Ty to get the free mulch and then I got our truck stuck and Josh had to wake Marley up to come help get us "unstuck" and then some man ended up pulling us out. As soon as he got us out his wench broke. Wow!

Josh has been off this week and doing a lot of stuff around the house (painting, fixing doors, moving furniture, etc.). Working like he has, it is very unlikely he will take another week off work and stay around the house.

Very Merry Christmas

What a great time we had celebrating the birth of our Saviour! We had Christmas Eve dinner at our house, then went to see the Christmas story at church, came home and made cookies, watched for Santa, and then the next morning we opened gifts and hung out before doing our Christmas celebrations in Lenoir City. What a great time to spend with family! Although, I did really miss my Papaw who passed away this time last year. To see all of our pics click on the Dec album.

Here is Ty opening presents. He was extremely into Santa this year and I think Josh and I had more fun with it than him! Anyway he loved opening all the gifts more than the gifts themselves, and now after 3 weeks of birthday/Christmas gifts he is headed into detox. Wish us luck!

Here Marley is opening her Raggedy Ann doll. Besides our house we went to 3 other "present openings" at other houses and Marley got 4 dolls. It must be a girl thing. Anyway she seems to like them...if you call licking & smacking their face and pulling their hair affection.
.
I hope you and your family had a blessed Christmas also! Now Josh and I are at home without the kids. His parents and my parents are keeping them for a couple of days. So yesterday we painted Ty's room, took down Christmas decor, and Josh grilled me a delicious steak. Today I am going to Natural Body for a haircut, then some shopping, and then top it off with dinner & a movie. On Sunday after church we are taking a nap before going to get the kiddos. Thanks Nana, Papa, Yaay & Dtaa!!

Happy Birthday Ty!!

Friday was Ty's 3rd birthday and we had just a few friends over to celebrate. We had a great time with everyone and thanks for all the cool gifts! To see all of pics click on the Dec album.

I can't my baby is 3 years old. For me birthdays bring lots of joy and a little bit of sadness to think my babies are growing up so quickly. Ty is so sweet right now, he loves to sit on my lap, and color with me, and help me do chores, etc. I hope that I will never forget these precious moments. :) Life doesn't get much better than this!

Happy Birthday My Little Marley Mo!!

I know all you parents out there can relate, but it seems like just yesterday that the hospital was letting us leave with our little girl. She has brought us so much joy over the past year and we are so thankful for her. I told Ty this morning it was her birthday and he said, "again?" He was thinking her birthday was last week during her party. Anyway I wanted to do something fun for her today and couldn't think of anything so we went to run errands at Northgate. I let her and Ty play in the play area and she absolutely loved it!! She was on the slide practically the whole time. It was so much fun watching her and Ty play.

I hated to torture Marley on her birthday, but Amy told me about free visits with Santa at Northgate, so we had to give it a try. Once again Marley was not too happy.

Who needs a double stroller, ha! We also went to Toys R Us this morning and Ty & Marley both got birthday balloons and crowns from Geoffrey. What fun!

Yesterday after work (I had to get that in for Josh) Marley and I went to Ty's Christmas party at school, it was a lot of fun for all of us.

Here is a really cute outfit that Sean, Andi, Beckett & Helen got her. I think she looks cute even if she is already rolling her eyes at me!

Thanks to everyone for all our birthday wishes, now to get ready for Ty's!

I don't know how I would do it with out you. We love you!!

Marley's 1st Birthday Party

Friday night we celebrated Marley's 1st birthday, even though her birthday is not until the 18th. We had all of our family come and celebrate with us in Lenoir City as well as my friend Sonja. My mom cooked some delicious food, we ate, and then watched Marley do the 1st birthday stuff. Thank you so much to everyone for celebrating with us and for all the great gifts!! To see all the pics click on the Dec album.

I really liked this pic, you can see Marley trying to get me and everyone having a good time! She didn't get too dirty or too into the cake.

After the big birthday party we exchanged Christmas gifts with my family since my brother and his wife won't be there for Christmas and we got a lot of cool stuff (I love my new duvet cover) including Josh's new bike bibs. I spared you all and took Ty's pic in them instead of Josh's...LOL!!

And before we left on Saturday I hung out with my Granny which was really nice and then we all surprised my dad for lunch to celebrate his 60th birthday. The plan for the rest of weekend is to rest, or maybe go to Atlanta to pick up my desk. :)

Ty's Bloodwork & The Train, and Marley's New Trick

Even though he is not smiling here, Ty was so excited to be wearing his bandaid, ace bandage, and bracelet from the hospital. He got all of those treats when Josh took him to get retested for his peanut allergy earlier this week. We are still waiting for the results. Ty didn't even cry and told me he was planning on going back tomorrow for more bloodwork. LOL!! For doing so well with getting his blood taken, Josh took Ty down the road and let him play on the train. And a couple of weeks ago Marley started taking her first steps. It won't be long before we will be running after her! Although at this point she still perfers to crawl or just be carried. :)

Playdate with Knox, Dinner with the Grau's, Picture with Santa, & Soddy Daisy Parade

Thursday Ty's friend, Knox, came over for a playdate and Hudson also came over to play. Oh what fun!

Saturday night the Grau's came over and watched the SEC Championship game. It was so good to see them! The kids and I did leave for part of the time to go their pics made with Santa (Ty loved it, Marley not so much) but we did make it back in time to see Bama go down.

Yesterday afternoon the Beard's invited us to watch the Soddy Daisy Christmas parade with them. It was a lot of fun (about 1.5 hrs long) and it had all the stuff the boys love - candy, fire trucks, construction equipment & Santa. Thanks for the invite!

You can see all the parade pics in our album.

Big Morning - Snow and then the CDM

Here is our 1st snow boy of the year. We didn't have too much snow but Ty insisted that we make Frosty and then he wanted to knock him down. :) We did and then he got a bag and put some snow in it and then put in our freezer so he and his dad could have a snowball fight when his dad gets home. How sweet!

The new exhibit at the CDM is called helping hands. They are making a sculpture and here is Ty adding his hand to it. The CDM was great this morning, there were only a couple of other families there so we had it to ourselves!

Isn't her hand me down Christmas outfit cute?!

Marley loves playing in the cabinets...great. :)

To see all of our pics click on the Decemeber album, I will add pics to it all month.
