Projects, Projects!

Yesterday Nana & Papa came to visit with us and we had a good time, here we are at one of our favorite restaurants, Pastaria!

Well the last few weeks we have been working off and on, on our new playhouse. We took the old one down alogn with the fence and planted grass there and then built a new one. Josh found the design, used recycled parts of the fence (for the fireman's pole), of our old deck (roof and platform), and of the old playset (slide, handles, swings, etc.). He did a great job and the kids LOVE it!

Project 2 - We sold our old bedroom set and we agreed to spend less than what we made since this was a want and not a need. Almost all of the profit went toward the mattress, I bought side tables, lamps, mirror, cool antique dresser, and then Josh made me this bed for $150. I love it!!

Now for a small break and then on to project number three! :) My poor husband!!

Powerman Alabama

This past weekend we went to Birmingham, AL and Josh and Ty did a duathalon. It was a lot of fun to watch them compete and they both did great, we are so proud of them!! While we were there we also went to the LEGO store and that was a big hit also. Here are some pics from the weekend.

During the week last week we were in Lenoir City visiting family and it was so good to see everyone. Hopefully this week we will just rest at home. Speaking of that, here is a pic of Marley asleep in her baby doll crib in her bed. Oh that girl!

Where do the days go?!

Sometimes I wonder, where do the days go? Here lately we have been outside all the time. Part of the time working on our new playhouse and the rest just hanging out. Here is a pic of a play date with Mags!

We also picked up my parents from the airport after 2 months in Thailand. Right before we had a fun sleepover with the Beard kiddos!

We love Star Wars, and this is about the only way Ty likes his pic made. He is doing well and baseball starts in a couple of weeks!

A couple of weekends ago we went to Gatlinburg one night (btw the Smokey Mtn Brewery & Pancake Pantry were great) and then 3 nights with the Harper/Nichols clan. What a great time we had! Thanks to N&P for the great cabin and for everyone else for making it so much fun!! Here is one of Andi's pics.

The days do go by, and I can't imagine them any sweeter than these!
