Let's Go Down to The River to Pray

Earlier this year Beckett accepted Jesus in to his heart and this morning he got baptized in the river by his parents. It was very special!! Josh and Ty didn't make it because Ty has had a rough week this past week and Josh decided to stay home with him.

I really liked this pic of Andi's hand and Will's hand this morning. I thought it was so sweet to see him asleep in his mommy's arms.
Yesterday morning, Marley and I went to Knoxville to go to a baby shower for Aunt Tracy & Baby Sayuri. It was at Mimi's Cafe and was great! I didn't get a lot of good pics but here is the best one.

Splash Country & Jill's

Last Thursday we went to Splash Country with my parents. They had some free tickets for us, so we decided to go the last weekday they were open. The weather was perfect and there was no one there. We got there a little after 10 and stayed till almost 6. Ty rode everything but about 3 or 4 rides. He was begging me to go to bed that night and he couldn't walk the next day...ha! Thanks to my Mom & Dad for making this day at the water park so much fun. They even helped watch the kids so Josh and I could ride the rides!!

Josh going down a slide and my worn out parents.

Well I didn't take a lot of pictures, but last Friday night Josh's sister, Jill, had everyone (his brother's family, her family, our family, Josh's parents, Josh's cousins family) all over for a cookout/pool party. It was a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone for bringing food and visiting with us, and a special thanks to Jill and Darrin for hosting this rowdy bunch. :)

New Patio & Garden

It is finished! We are now just trying to get some grass to grow around it, but our stone patio is now finished. Of course it cost much more than expected but we are already enjoying it. The weather has been so nice, we have almost every meal out there (makes clean up great) and had our first fire.
The ice cream truck is normally prohibited in our area, but one snuck in and we got sherbert for the kids. Marley eating her push pop on the new patio.
Now that the patio is done, Ty's beloved equipment has left. But we had to take a few last pics.

This is our garden. We had cantaloupes, okra, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, cilantro, a grape vine, beans, broccoli, blueberries, & red lettuce this year. Some of it has done great and others not too much.
Some of the things we planted didn't do so well, like our carrots. Here is Ty with almost our entire crop of carrots.

Here is a little carrot man we made!

Before & After Pics of House

These pics show how the exterior of our house has changed in the last 2.5 yrs. Now the question is, will the house renovations ever end? :)

I have really enjoyed my window boxes this year. Thanks to Josh for making them and to Cheryl for the great flower recommendation.
Here's a before & after pic of our new garage door.

Happy Birthday Lula!!

This past weekend we went to Atlanta to visit with the Masters. Friday night they took us to eat mexican and then to hear live music in historic Norcross. It was really nice, they had the music for the adults and a great playground for the kids and even a train. Then Saturday we took Phoebe and Marley to a little girl named Lauren's 2nd birthday, while the Ty & Lula went swimming after naps we had Lu's 4th birthday party. The kids were able to make fun shirts there and play. I think everyone had a great time. Then we had Vietnamese for dinner...yummy. Today we let the kids play before coming home and getting tires along the way. What a great weekend. Thanks to the Masters for putting us up and showing us all a great time, we already miss you all!! Click on Aug album to see all pics. We are off to Muscle Shoals tomorrow!

I had been debating on what to paint on a large canvas I had, and decided to let the kids do it instead. I really like what they did and decided to hang it in the dining room, it is very abstract. :)

A couple of days this past week we got together with Bradley, a friend of Josh's that lives in Atlanta. Thanks Bradley for coming to visit with us.
Last Tuesday we helped celebrate the end of the summer reading program at the library. It was a lot of fun, the kids got ice cream, music & awards...Signal Mtn has the best library!!
