Bittersweet

Well Josh and I are sad that the Tour de France ended today (mainly Josh) but the one plus side is that Ty has started to ride his bike without training wheels!! We are so proud of him. One time he said, "Mom this is so much fun."

This Past Week

This past Saturday Uncle Bert & Aunty Tracy came and visited with us. Tracy is 6.5 months preggo and we went out to a lot of baby boutiques shopping. It was fun! Thanks for coming to visit with us and we can't wait to meet baby Sayuri!!



The kids looked so cute before church on Sunday, I had to take a pic. This pic does not show how cute they looked, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a good picture of them both. This week we have been in LC with Josh as he finished up his bridge project. It was good to see everyone!
Last night Bradley came over and had dinner with us and then watched the Tour de France with Josh. It was great seeing him, but I did not take any pics. Although I did take some of Marley. :)

Chattanooga Tri

This past Sunday we went to watch Josh do the Chattanooga Tri. He did great and we had a lot of fun watching him! After the race we went to LC and ate dinner at Wasabi's (yummy) and then to watch my brother get baptized...it was awesome!











This year we experimented with a garden. We have had luck with several things and not so much with others. Josh's dad gets about 15+ potatoes out of each of his hills and I only get 4, but here they are!

Swimming at the Shoals

Yesterday we went with Josh to Muscle Shoals, AL for an overnight trip. It was a lot of fun and a nice break. We played at a McDonald's (one of the nicest one we've been too) and then at the hotel pool. It really made us feel like we were on vacation.









Here is a video of Ty going down the slide. He absolutely loved it and must have gone down it 100 times. We had such a great time and can't wait to go back.

On our way back home today, Ty was a terror for the whole 3 hrs. I am not sure what is wrong with him, but he gets so focused in on one thing and just repeats himself over and over again and gets louder. He is definitely going thru a rough patch right now. Let's pray for Mr. Defiant to leave and our sweet son to return!!

Happy 4th (aka Parade Day)!!

Yesterday we had some friends come over and watch the 4th of July parade that comes in front of our house. It was so much fun!! Usually we join the end, but some how we missed it. So we started our own little parade with all of our kids and it was very cute. I wish I had pics of it. Thanks to everyone for making our 4th so special!! Also we did not do fireworks last night because Ty had problems obeying so we stayed home. He took it really hard.

Also Friday we went to the pool with the Beard's. It was great! Too bad I didn't have my camera. And then that night we went to The Terminal (one of my favs) with the Grau's and Brandon & Betsey and then off to nightfall. Lots of fun! Today we are enjoying the rain.

We just don't know about that Marley Mo...

Last week we put Marley in her big girl bed and she is not one of those who will stay in the bed if she is awake. She will unplug her radio, mess with the lamp, she now opens the door to come see us, etc. Well last night I went to check on her and she had gotten all of her swimsuits out (again) and fell asleep trying one on. Hilarious!!
I am not sure how good of a mother she will be in the future. Here she is standing on top of her baby next to the wine cooler. And not this is not a learned behavior.
