Happy 1st Birthday Phoebe

Saturday afternoon we went to Dalton to Phoebe's 1st birthday party. It was really nice and it looked like she had a lot of fun. Here she is with her big sis. To see all of our pics, click on the May album. After the party we came back home and Sarah Ann came and babysat for us while we went to Table 2 for dinner. It was SO nice. We came back home & the kids were in bed and asleep...nice.I normally put Marley in her bouncy seat for naps, and when I went to check on her today she looked like this. She had wiggled her way out and looked so cute just hanging over the edge. I got her out and she had red marks on her legs from dangling over.On Satursday morning we woke the kids up to go to the Creative Discovery Museum to eat breakfast with Clifford. Ty was still a little scared of the Clifford costume, but he really enjoyed playing at the museum. When we went to leave he threw a huge fit that started in the musuem and carried over to the parking lot. It was REAL cute, I am just sorry the Beards had to witness it.Friday night my Bible Study leader had all the girls over for dinner and it was great! Josh watched the kids while I had a delicious dinner with my friends.

Married to Professional Bowler

It's been about 2 wks since Josh's surgery and he went in today for his follow up visit. They took the wrapping off and then took the stiches out (the incision is a little bit larger than the original cut). Despite the dr. being in a hurry, we were able to get all of our questions answered and they bandaged Josh back up and put him in a splint that makes him look just like a professional bowler. :) Anyway he starts therapy next week and hopefully he will be back before we know it.While I went to the dr. with Josh, our good friend Cara came over with her son, Gavin, and they watched Ty & Marley. Thanks Cara & Gavin!! Below is a pic of Fireman Ty & Fireman Gavin (they think they are Fireman Sam).

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. On Friday the Grau's came over and had dinner with us (to see all pics click on the May album to the left) and then on Monday the Beard's had us all over for dinner. It was great, thank you so much!!
Josh's hand is starting to heal but the healing process has been very painful. Please continue to pray for his wrist & hand. Here is a pic of Ty sleeping, I love pics of kids sleeping. Anyway he is doing and saying so many different things right now. I am sure you all will love this, but if he poops he will come tell us if it is a HUGE one.

Ty & Marley are starting to interact more now that she is getting older. They are so much fun to watch. In the pic with Ty, she is wearing a pretty white dress her Nana gave her. Oh yeah, one day this week she slept till 11:15 am and when I went in there she was just laying happily in her bed.

Tag you are it!

Catherine tagged me for this theme: Six Quirky Things about You...

Here are the rules:
*Link the person who tagged you.
*Mention the rules in your blog.
*Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours.
*Tag a new set of six following bloggers by linking them.

So here are my quirks...

1. I almost always don't like my hair (cut, style, color, etc.). I just got it partially highlighted this weekend and I am already wanting to do something else to make it look better.
2. I am double jointed, so I can bend my fingers, arms & thumbs back in a weird way. You would think that would make me flexible, but it's the opposite. I can't even touch my toes!
3. I love to mow the yard. Here lately I have been mowing it on the diagonal and I have to admit it looks pretty good.
4. I am a stay at home mom/private investogator. I can tell you what is going on at all the homes around me, just ask the Grahams. :)
5. I love to get rid of clutter, Josh sometimes calls me Sanford & Son or Little Tom McCarroll.
6. I take lots of stuff back. For example, I have bought something to wear for Marley's baby dedication, but if I find something better I will just take it back. My brother thinks this is SO bizarre.

Hanging Around the House

We've just been hanging around since Josh's surgery last week and you can see some of our pics in the "May Pics" album to the left. Thanks to Josh's parents for coming to help out last week. Anyway Josh is doing good (as good as a one handed man can do) and will probably go back to work tomorrow. But please keep his hand & wrist in your prayers.Saturday we went to a Safety Fair and Ty got this cool helmet that he had to try out. He is finally able to push the pedals on his own. My parents visited with us this weekend and you can see my dad (Dtaa) in the background.

This is Marley & Macy at the park. We had to get out of the house, so the Beard's met us for dinner and a playground outing.

Doing well

Josh had his surgery today and he is doing well. Dr. Jemison repaired his median nerve and his flexor tendon and now we are just waiting for it to heal. The doctor said that it may take a couple of years for Josh's hand to heal but we are glad this part is over. Thanks for your prayers!

Surgery on Thursday

Just wanted to let everyone know that Josh is going in for surgery on his wrist this Thursday. We thought this was all over but when the feeling did not return to Josh's hand we contacted my aunt, she is a hand therapist, and she recommended Josh go to a surgeon. Come to find out he has cut his median nerve and they are going to open it back up to repair it and fix anything else that needs to be fixed. Based on what we know right now, Josh will have to wear a splint for 6 wks or so and will not get the feeling back for another 6 months. Please pray for a successful surgery and quick healing.

Most Memorable Mother's Day EVER

Long story somewhat short, Josh hung a light fixture for me today and in the process he pushed too hard on the sharp metal edge and it sliced his right wrist open. We thought he hit a major artery and ended up calling 911. They came and told us he had not, so Josh asked if it was okay if I took him to the ER instead of riding in the ambulance. We went & he got 11 stitches and is doing well. What a wild and crazy day, we are just glad he is okay. Below is a pic of his wrapped up wrist, just be glad I didn't take any of the actual wound...it looked horrific. I was looking at it in the hospital and I started to feel a little weak. :)Friday after work we all went to the Sports Barn to swim and this was Marley's first time in the pool, she liked it just as much as any 5 month old would. :)Saturday Josh cleaned out our garage and now I can park my car in it...yay! He also got me some rhodendrons that he & Ty planted for me for Mother's Day.

I Get My Muscles From My Dad

Our little guy has not been feeling well this week. He has been sleeping a lot (one day he didn't get up until noon) and not eating a whole lot. Although he does manage to eat french fries, amazing huh? I took this picture after he fell asleep on me. I got up to get the camera and he never woke up, just fell over. :)Yesterday a crane was installing a metal beam in the house next door and my construction-equipment-loving son was in hog heaven. Here he is in his, "I Get My Muscles From My Dad" t shirt that the Master's gave him...thanks!!

Here I am with Marley after Josh handed (aka threw it on her head) me the burp cloth. :)

3 State 3 Mtn. & Visit with Friends

Our little babies!! More pics from this weekend can be found with our Thomas pics to the left.Despite the awful weather Josh did the 3 State 3 Mtn. bike ride on Saturday morning. It is a 100 mile ride over Suck Creek, Sand & Lookout Mountains, we are very proud of him. Also here is a pic of Curt holding Marley for the first time!

The Master's were here this weekend and the Grau's came by Saturday night, so we just had to take a picture of all 3 girls (Anna Claire 1m, Marley 5m, Phoebe 11m).Sunday afternoon we went to pick up Ty and then visit with my family. Here is a picture of Aunt Tracy holding Marley. Thanks to Tracy & Robert for the gifts for the kids!

Day Out with Thomas

Friday afternoon we met Jess & Bettye and the Beard's in Chattanooga to ride Thomas the Train. Ty was VERY excited to see Thomas and it was hard for him to try and hold in that excitement until time to ride. He finally got to ride and here he is taking it all in!Here is a picture of Thomas. To see all of our pictures click on the "Thomas" photo album to the left. I don't have any pics of him with Sir Topham Hat because he was scared to death and actually pushed him away.
