Happy 1st Birthday Phoebe

Saturday afternoon we went to Dalton to Phoebe's 1st birthday party. It was really nice and it looked like she had a lot of fun. Here she is with her big sis. To see all of our pics, click on the May album. After the party we came back home and Sarah Ann came and babysat for us while we went to Table 2 for dinner. It was SO nice. We came back home & the kids were in bed and asleep...nice.I normally put Marley in her bouncy seat for naps, and when I went to check on her today she looked like this. She had wiggled her way out and looked so cute just hanging over the edge. I got her out and she had red marks on her legs from dangling over.On Satursday morning we woke the kids up to go to the Creative Discovery Museum to eat breakfast with Clifford. Ty was still a little scared of the Clifford costume, but he really enjoyed playing at the museum. When we went to leave he threw a huge fit that started in the musuem and carried over to the parking lot. It was REAL cute, I am just sorry the Beards had to witness it.Friday night my Bible Study leader had all the girls over for dinner and it was great! Josh watched the kids while I had a delicious dinner with my friends.

Married to Professional Bowler

It's been about 2 wks since Josh's surgery and he went in today for his follow up visit. They took the wrapping off and then took the stiches out (the incision is a little bit larger than the original cut). Despite the dr. being in a hurry, we were able to get all of our questions answered and they bandaged Josh back up and put him in a splint that makes him look just like a professional bowler. :) Anyway he starts therapy next week and hopefully he will be back before we know it.While I went to the dr. with Josh, our good friend Cara came over with her son, Gavin, and they watched Ty & Marley. Thanks Cara & Gavin!! Below is a pic of Fireman Ty & Fireman Gavin (they think they are Fireman Sam).

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. On Friday the Grau's came over and had dinner with us (to see all pics click on the May album to the left) and then on Monday the Beard's had us all over for dinner. It was great, thank you so much!!
Josh's hand is starting to heal but the healing process has been very painful. Please continue to pray for his wrist & hand. Here is a pic of Ty sleeping, I love pics of kids sleeping. Anyway he is doing and saying so many different things right now. I am sure you all will love this, but if he poops he will come tell us if it is a HUGE one.

Ty & Marley are starting to interact more now that she is getting older. They are so much fun to watch. In the pic with Ty, she is wearing a pretty white dress her Nana gave her. Oh yeah, one day this week she slept till 11:15 am and when I went in there she was just laying happily in her bed.

Tag you are it!

Catherine tagged me for this theme: Six Quirky Things about You...

Here are the rules:
*Link the person who tagged you.
*Mention the rules in your blog.
*Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours.
*Tag a new set of six following bloggers by linking them.

So here are my quirks...

1. I almost always don't like my hair (cut, style, color, etc.). I just got it partially highlighted this weekend and I am already wanting to do something else to make it look better.
2. I am double jointed, so I can bend my fingers, arms & thumbs back in a weird way. You would think that would make me flexible, but it's the opposite. I can't even touch my toes!
3. I love to mow the yard. Here lately I have been mowing it on the diagonal and I have to admit it looks pretty good.
4. I am a stay at home mom/private investogator. I can tell you what is going on at all the homes around me, just ask the Grahams. :)
5. I love to get rid of clutter, Josh sometimes calls me Sanford & Son or Little Tom McCarroll.
6. I take lots of stuff back. For example, I have bought something to wear for Marley's baby dedication, but if I find something better I will just take it back. My brother thinks this is SO bizarre.

Hanging Around the House

We've just been hanging around since Josh's surgery last week and you can see some of our pics in the "May Pics" album to the left. Thanks to Josh's parents for coming to help out last week. Anyway Josh is doing good (as good as a one handed man can do) and will probably go back to work tomorrow. But please keep his hand & wrist in your prayers.Saturday we went to a Safety Fair and Ty got this cool helmet that he had to try out. He is finally able to push the pedals on his own. My parents visited with us this weekend and you can see my dad (Dtaa) in the background.

This is Marley & Macy at the park. We had to get out of the house, so the Beard's met us for dinner and a playground outing.

Doing well

Josh had his surgery today and he is doing well. Dr. Jemison repaired his median nerve and his flexor tendon and now we are just waiting for it to heal. The doctor said that it may take a couple of years for Josh's hand to heal but we are glad this part is over. Thanks for your prayers!

Surgery on Thursday

Just wanted to let everyone know that Josh is going in for surgery on his wrist this Thursday. We thought this was all over but when the feeling did not return to Josh's hand we contacted my aunt, she is a hand therapist, and she recommended Josh go to a surgeon. Come to find out he has cut his median nerve and they are going to open it back up to repair it and fix anything else that needs to be fixed. Based on what we know right now, Josh will have to wear a splint for 6 wks or so and will not get the feeling back for another 6 months. Please pray for a successful surgery and quick healing.
