Hanging with the Harpers

This evening Sean, Andi, Beckett & Helen came and ate dinner with us and then entertained us the rest of the evening. They had been to Atlanta earlier today working on some "stuff" to adopt a son from Ethopia later this year (very exciting huh?) and stopped by our house on the way home. It was so nice to catch up with Sean & Andi, and Ty & Marley loved "booming cars" and doing ring around the rosies with their cousins. Thanks guys!!

Thursday Playdate

This morning Gavin & Hudson came over to spend the morning with us. All the boys had a great time playing in the mulch and watching the backhoe come by. Thanks for playing with us!! And this evening Josh's brother, Sean, and his family, Andi, Beckett & Helen are coming to visit. What a fun day at the Harper household!!

Colds, 1st Haircut, Cute Little Girl?

Josh and I have had colds this weekend, so we have been trying to relax...well relax as much as you can with 2 kids. :)


Marley got her 1st haircut (aka mulletcut) this week and it does look better. Looks like she is following in the footsteps of her dear friend Phoebe!


Marley found these hideous swim goggles and wore them all night. How come she will wear these ugly things that smush her eyes, but won't wear her cute sunglasses?
Here are a couple of paintings that me and a friend worked on at Craft Night, they will eventually go into Marley's big girl room.

No Pics

We had a really fun weekend but unfortunately I didn't take a single pic. Friday my mom cooked dinner for us and Doug and then after that I met my friend Sonja for coffee in Lenoir City while Josh and Doug went to a Reckless Kelly concert (which they said was great). Saturday we met Josh's college buddy, Jeff Huckaby & family, at Chuck E. Cheese's and then went to Josh's parents home to have dinner with his whole family. Sunday after church we went to the Riverwalk and jogged, where we "ran into" the Grau's. Now this morning we are headed to Huntsville to relax. :)

Valentine's Party at PDS

Today Marley and I went to Ty' Valentine's Party at school. It is so much fun to watch him and his buddies. They had a V day snack and then read book and sang songs. The teachers are absolutely amazing with the kids!!

Monday with the Masters

Yesterday we drove down to Atlanta and visited with Tessa, Lula, & Phoebe. We really enjoyed visiting with them and playing with them...and for the most part all the kids did great!! Thanks to Tessa for hosting our wild bunch. Below is a pic of Tessa and I at the park. Ty took some pics of us and the 1st one was of our chest area (just like a man) but this one turned out pretty well.

Before stopping at the Masters house we went to Trader Joe's. Whenever we go there Ty has to push a buggy and he takes his grocery shopping so seriously. It is very funny.

Slow Weekend

I meant to get a pic of Ty and Marley on Sunday, but I just got one of Marley. Josh was trying to catch up with us going to church and he rolled his ankle. He is feeling better now, but this gave us a good reason to take it easy. Although he did fix a great dinner last night!

The kids ALWAYS have fun in the tub, and here are some pics of Ty. I won't post the ones of Marley...those are to blackmail her with when she is older (they are ones of her bottom with cellulite).



Here is Marley taking turns in the stroller with her baby doll. She loves to play with the stroller but it also makes her very angry. Some of the things that aggrevate her is when she can't get in to it, when no one will push her, and when she can't get it around an obstacle, like a wall. :)


Didn't get into too much this weekend, but we did get some small house projects fixed, like our closet light...hallejuah!

Florence, AL

This week we traveled with Josh to Florenece, AL and stayed at a really nice Marriott. We have had lots of fun traveling with Josh these past few weeks!

Both Ty & Marley like to help me "clean up" after I make mashed potatoes. :)

Fun Weekend

What another fun week. We went to Huntsville again with Josh and then on Friday night my parents came to visit. On Saturday the Beard's came over for dinner and Michael had made my mom some of his special gumbo, too bad I didn't have a bowl big enough to eat it in. :) Here are all the kiddos sitting and eating quietly.

Saturday morning we got up and took Ty to Walmart to get a new bike. He absolutely loves it and has ridden it ALL weekend. His old bike (the $2.50 girl's bike I bought at an estate sale) finally called it quits and so far the new one has been well worth the $35 plus it is not pink & purple.

Sunday after church we had a picnic at the park with my parents. The weather was amazing and I am ready for spring!
